The First Beer of Barcelona since 1856. Over 165 years, Moritz Barcelona has perfected its brewing expertise to lovingly create a range of seven beers that make up the Moritz family.

When founder Louis Moritz arrived in Barcelona he was well acquainted with beer and everything that went into it thanks to his older brother who was already a master brewer. By 1856, Louis had developed his own beer; three years later, he bought the factory of Joan Maurer, 1856 located on Calle Portal de Santa Madrona, and turned it into one of Barcelona’s biggest production plants.

Moritz Original is made with extra-pale malt and an intense flavour of Saaz hops, one of the most recognised aromatic hops in the world, providing an exceptional taste and sweet notes of malt and cereals.
